The Technology Education Pumas at Short Pump Middle School have collaborated with the administration team for a project in the Systems Manufacturing class. A need for easier identification of classrooms to assist first responders and visitors has resulted in a great manufacturing project for the students.
Through the guidance of their teacher, Mr. Robert Doolidge, student design teams collaborated to create signage to be used throughout the entire school. Students used additive (3D Printing), subtractive (CNC Milling), and assembly line techniques to design, fabricate, and install new door signs for each and every room at SPMS!
