Today's PN students had a fun and creative activity: they made ornaments with their student learning outcomes to decorate the tree. These outcomes are human flourishing, nursing judgment, professional identity, and a spirit of inquiry, as defined by the National League of Nursing (2014). They showed their enthusiasm and passion for nursing through this project. DECA students who study entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, hospitality and management were involved in a competition today with over 100 of their fellow high school students from Henrico and Goochland schools. They were judged on how well they dealt with dozens of business scenarios. #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #Henrico #GoochlandCounty The new ACE Center building is almost done and it looks amazing! Some of Mrs. Mazza’s landscaping students from the ACE Center at Hermitage were busy planting shrubs in front of the building. They were very enthusiastic and proud of their work. I can't wait to see the final result! #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #landscaping #CareerExploration #Henrico We had a blast at our annual Hour of Code Event, where middle schoolers from different schools came to learn about coding! Our high school students did an amazing job as presenters, showing them the ropes at Libby Hill Library Junior Achievement Finance Park. It was a day full of fun and discovery for everyone! #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #HourofCode #Coding The Cardboard Arcade was a blast for Mr. Jackson's Coding class at Short Pump Middle. They showed off their amazing games that they created, built, and presented. There was even a Pickleball game! #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #coding #codingisfun Our Culinary and Baking and Pastry programs welcomed many of our business partners who came to check out the new ACE Center at Hermitage expansion. They were impressed by the amazing facilities opening soon. It was a great opportunity to showcase our program and connect with the industry. #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #CareerReady We are thrilled to have our business partners and guests join us for a sneak peek of our new classroom at the ACE Center at Hermitage, where our Graphic Communication students will learn and create amazing projects. ACE Center at Hermitage is a state-of-the-art facility that will inspire and empower our students to pursue their passions and goals. #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #CareerReady #graphiccommunication It was a fun day for the elementary school students who came to the ACE Center at Highland Springs. They got to try out different activities in each of our programs and learn new things. One of the highlights was the static generator in the electricity class, which made their hair stand up and sparks fly! #HenricoCTE #careerexploration #ace_center_hs The Henrico Sports and Event Center will host a festive Christmas event with more than 400 guests. Our Event Planning and Tourism Marketing students helped make this possible by laying carpet, arranging tables and chairs, and learning how to organize a large event. They showed great enthusiasm and dedication in their work. #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #CareerReady #careerexploration #handsonlearning
