Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students with the foundational knowledge to jumpstart their careers while at the same time preparing them for continuing education. Students who complete a CTE program graduate with more than just a diploma. Many graduate with not only a skill set that prepares them for the world of work but also a nationally recognized certification or state licenses. CTE courses provide students with the opportunity to develop industry contacts to build resume’s that can be used for future employment programs in apprenticeships, two- and four-year college, and private career schools. The programs we offer at CTE help strengthen academic achievement, enhance leadership and employable skills, provide hands-on applications of academic concepts. Many offer the opportunity to gain college credit while in high school. In short, taking a Career and Technical Education program while in high school is a decision that “pays” as you prepare for the future.
