CTE Programs

Career and Technical Education (CTE) offers many classes at a student’s middle and high school or at one of Henrico County’s Advanced Career Education Centers. Students are provided, through CTE, with the opportunity to develop academic and technical skills that will prepare them to successfully transition to postsecondary education, work, or the military. Through CTE courses, students not only gain valuable skills by applying academic concepts to the technical skills they learn, but an understanding of the world of work and the workplace readiness skills needed to be successful in any career. Opportunities are available for students to earn college credits through selected courses and to prepare for licensure and/or industry certifications related to their programs of study.
