The solitary trade of welder does not exist in the skilled construction trades; however, each individual trade has its own need for those who can weld.
Rarely will a person’s only job assignment be to weld. Those who weld have also been trained in the full work processes of each individual trade and will often assist with work processes aside from welding.
Some trades will have more of a need for welders than others; Boilermaker, Iron Worker, Millwright, Pipefitter and Sheet Metal Workers perhaps rank the highest in the need for welders, however, not in this specific order.
