Do you know what Career & Technical Education is?
Henrico Career & Technical Education is under the Department of Workforce and Career Development with Henrico County Public Schools. Our goal is to get every student enrolled in the college of their choice, enlisted in the military, or employed in the career of their choice by the time a student graduates from high school. With over 150 programs beginning in middle school then continuing into high school and our specialty
center programs at our Advanced Career Education (ACE) Centers at Hermitage and Highland Springs, we are able to offer programs that have hands-on real-world training and education to get every student ready for their future when they graduate from high school. CTE connects students with a brighter future.
I have a nephew that is interested in culinary classes. He is a student in Henrico Co. school system. Currently he is a student at Fairfield Middle.

I work with an area landscape company that is interested in finding people interested in pursuing a career in horticulture. I believe some of the schools offer hort programs. Is there a person I could contact about this?

Yes, you can contact our career specialist, Beverly Cocke, blcocke@henrico.k12.va.us. She will not be back in the office until after New Years’. I hope this helps. Thank you for your question.
