It was a fun day for the elementary school students who came to the ACE Center at Highland Springs. They got to try out different activities in each of our programs and learn new things. One of the highlights was the static generator in the electricity class, which made their hair stand up and sparks fly! #HenricoCTE #careerexploration #ace_center_hs The Henrico Sports and Event Center will host a festive Christmas event with more than 400 guests. Our Event Planning and Tourism Marketing students helped make this possible by laying carpet, arranging tables and chairs, and learning how to organize a large event. They showed great enthusiasm and dedication in their work. #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #CareerReady #careerexploration #handsonlearning We had the honor of meeting two awesome MCJROTC instructors, LtCol Chris Gaitens, Sgt.Maj. Scott Cauley, and cadet Captain Natalie Sherlock who told us all about their Marine Corps JROTC program. They explained how the program helps students develop leadership skills, discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness. They also shared how the program prepares students for their future, whether they choose to join the military or pursue a civilian career and life. We were so impressed by their passion and dedication to their students and the Marine Corps values. We learned a lot from them, and we are so grateful for this opportunity to include them in our podcast family. Thank you, LtCol Gaitens, Sgt.Maj. Cauley, and cadet Captain Natalie Sherlock for your service and for inspiring us and your students! https://tinyurl.com/TuckerMCJROTC #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #CareerExploration #Marrines #MillitaryService We are so proud of our Highland Springs Marine Corps JROTC cadets who take their future seriously and dress to impress once a month! This is a great way to prepare for their career goals and to show their commitment to excellence. Way to go, cadets! #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #CareerReady #careerexploration What a wonderful day we had at The Virginia Cliff Inn! Our Event Planning and Tourism Marketing students from the ACE Center at Hermitage got to experience first-hand the behind-the-scenes work of setting up a multi-day Christmas event that would welcome over a thousand guests. We are so grateful to the staff and owners of The Virginia Cliff Inn for this amazing opportunity! #HenricoCTE #CareerReady #LifeReady #eventplanning #careerexploration We had a blast this week with Lauren Harris from Lauren Harris Salon & Spa and Alexandria from The Luxe Experience! They came to talk to our First-year Cosmetology students at the ACE Center at Virginia Randolph and gave them some amazing tips and insights. Thank you both for inspiring and empowering our future leaders and entrepreneurs in the trade! #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #CareerReady #Henrico #cosmetology ACE students wrapped up two weeks of exploring Richmond businesses and learning from different professionals in honor of National Apprenticeship Week. We are grateful to the businesses below for giving over 500 students the opportunity to discover career possibilities. #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #JobShadowing #CareerReady #Henrico #henricocounty Don't take our word for it: Experience the benefits of job shadowing. We are so grateful to our partners for welcoming students from the ACE Center at Hermitage to explore different career options during National Apprenticeship Week. A valuable investment of time and energy! What a wonderful way to spread some holiday cheer! Some talented students from different Henrico County high schools Manufacturing Systems with Wood have used their woodworking skills to create amazing toys for the Henrico County Christmas Mother. They made Pucket Games, Dino Crayon holders, and more, all with love and creativity. These gifts will surely brighten up the lives of many children this season. We are so proud of these students and their teachers for this generous initiative! #HenricoCTE #LifeReady #Henrico #christmasmother
